Field operation workers from the NYC Dept. of Environmental Protection replace screens in a pollution control device along the Bronx River in the borough of the Bronx in New York on Thursday, June 27, 2013. The litter control devices placed at strategic spots along the Bronx River collect tons of trash washed into the sewer system before the waste enters the Bronx River. Waste and trash discarded on the city's streets works its way into the harbor increasing pollution.
