Sunlight breaks through the monsoon clouds building around the Kathmandu valley
These hills are to the southwest of the Kathmandu valley with this ridge running up to Pulchowki just out of shot to the left. Clad in conifers and pines this is a protected park area one of the few original woodlands in the valley and well known for bird life. Pulchowki is the highest of the hills circling the valley at 2700m and this ridge at over 2000m would be just high enough to get a little snow in winter
