The most recent important addition toRichmonds industries is the PullmanPalace Car Works, which does all thework of that company for the coast ter-ritory. The buildings are on a site of twenty-four acres and are of brick and largest one, the forging and wreck-ing shop, is 270 by 200 feet. Some arethree stories high. There are depart-ments for upholstering, tin, brass, cabi-net, mill, varnish and other work. Thereis a complete laundry and renovation. STANDARD OIL COMPANYS WORKS AT RICHMOND plant, a wheel and axle house, a dry kilnand a lumber storage yard. The plant cost -$500,000. It is so laidout that it can be trebled in size on thebalance of the present site.
