This type ofbridge allows practically unobstructedwater traffic up and down the river. Itwas built by the city at a cost of about$1,300,000. The bridge is lighted at night by 2505-light and 2-light fixtures, together withan outline scheme of 7,000 lamps spaced18 inches apart. One hundred-watttungstens are used in the pole fixturesand 32-candle power lamps on the outlinesystem. Current is supplied to the lampsover more than 12 miles of wire in metalconduit. August, WIS.
