Noche de los rabanos or night of the radishes is held every 23 December in Oaxaca, Mexico. Elaborate displays are made as extremely large radishes are carved and shaped along with displays of flor inmortal, immortal flower and totomoxtle, maize husks. The radish sculptures are displayed in the Zocalo throughout the night and prizes given for best entrant.
