JACKSONVILLE, FL. (Oct. 21, 2022) The C-130J Hercules, nicknamed "Fat Albert," begins it's takeoff down the runway. Fat Albert is essential for the Blue Angels by carrying personnel and essentials from performance to performance. The show celebrated the Blue Angels’ heritage, which traces back to 1946 at the squadron’s birthplace of NAS Jacksonville. The show also featured aerial performances by other military and civilian flight teams, live entertainment, and the opportunity to see military aircraft and vehicles and the Special Operations Command Parachute Team.
