The prognosis therefore will depend on the age of thepatient, the stage of the disease in which treatment is commenced, and thev/ill power of the patient. The vitality of children and their ability to passtiirough long periods of illness and finally recover should be rememberedwhen the outcome of the case is considered. Severe forms of marasmus,with marked emaciation, apparently hopeless, finally recovered. I have alsoseen severe forms of apex tuberculosis in children that entirely recoveredafter proper hygienic and dietet
