The Sugar and "Mangel Wurzel varieties are grown for feeding stock. Sow in April or Mav in drills two and one-half feet apart, and afterwards thin out to stand one foot apart in the rows; keep we., cultivated. One ounce will sow a drill 100 feet in length; five or six pounds are required for an acre. GoldenTankard. A distinct and superior strain of yellow or golden- fleshed mangel; an enormous cropper.
