Portrait of British soldier Herbert Charles Onslow Plumer, 1st Viscount Plumer (1857-1932) who commanded the British Second Army in Flanders in World War I. He was promoted to field marshal and made a Baron in 1919, and served as Governor of Malta and then High Commissioner of the British Mandate of Palestine.
