Taken from the prairies of Falzarego Pass, a high altitude road pass linking Val Badia with Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites, Italy. The ditch in the prairie visible just at the base of the mountain is the remains of the Italian trenches of WWI. This place, from 1915 thru 1917, was the front line of the Italian Front of World War One.
