Internal Walls of the, Temple of Apollo, Didim, Turkey

The Temple of Apollo is located at the end of the Sacred Road in Didim, Turkey. The ruins are beautifully preserved and it is quite an easy step to see in your minds eye how magnificent the temple would have looked in its heyday. Particularly special are the two columns standing together on one side of the temple entrance and one on the other. In May the single column was home to a breeding pair of cranes. Over the road and hidden away behind a wall is about a 200 metre stretch of the sacred road, see further pictures of mine to see this. Overall an awesome sight that really feels like history.
