A bronze statue of Rudyard Kipling sits in the High Street of the East Sussex village of Burwash. Kipling lived in the village for 34 years, from 1902 until his death in 1936. His house, Batemans, was just outside the village and is currently in the care of the National Trust and hence is open to visitors. The statue is by Victoria Atkinson and comissioned by Burwash parish Counci. It was unveiled in February 2019.
