A Roman helmet,Montefortino/Buggenum/Hagenau type,1st century - 1st century Bronze skull forged in one piece with a button shaped top knob slit lengthwise and perforated for accepting the comb rail. Widely extended neck guard,double riveted hinge straps on the sides for the cheek pieces(missing). An embossed inscription "ALON" on the inside of the neck protector,next to a large hole. Height cm.
