Groundcrew of No. 269 Squadron RAF wheel a lifeboat to a Vickers Warwick ASR Mark I at Lagens in the Azores in the Atlantic ocean. Belonging to Portugal, a neutral country in World War II they were wary of a possible German takeover of the islands. The Warwick was a multi-purpose twin-engined British aircraft developed and operated during the Second World War.
