The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom. It is estimated to contain 170-200 million items. The Library is now located in a purpose-built building on the north side of Euston Road in St Pancras, London. Following the closure of the Round Reading Room on 25 October 1997 the library stock began to be moved into the St Pancras building. The new library was designed specially for the purpose by the architect Colin St John Wilson
