Woman exploring British flowering bluebell woodland in Warton Hall Gardens, Fylde, UK. May, 2017. Sunny spring day, if a little cold, as visitors explore among the fantastic array of spring bluebells. Bluebell woods where this favourite flower is incorporated into formal planting. Warton Hall is a Georgian Manor House set in 4 acres of garden with a beautiful bluebell woodland walk. Once owned by Augustus Wyckham Clifton of the Clifton family of Lytham, Lancashire.

Nothing says spring quite like a blanket of flowers covering the undergrowth of a woodland as the sun peeks through the new tree leaves. The pop of colour from a field of bluebells against the fresh green grass make for a canvas even the most talented artist couldn't paint. Bluebells begin to flower in April after the last frosts of winter have melted away, but the best time to see them is late April to May in the North of England.
