My DEAR Mrs. Farnam : I will try to tell you something of our experi-ence since we left our home in the interior of China. It was a sad day for all of us—that last day of October—when we turnedour faces from the home where we had spent, by far, the happiest years ofour lives. Our hearts were full of love for the men and women around , many times during the dark days of uncertainty had we asked, if itwas His will, that we might be allowed to remain in China.
