Christine de Pizan. 15th-century manuscript illustration of the Italian-French medieval author Christine de Pizan (right, ) presenting her book to Louis I, Duke of Orleans (left, 1372-1407). This illustration prefaces the 'L'Epitre d'Othea' section of 'The Book of the Queen', a collection of the works of Christine de Pizan assembled and produced in Paris in around 1410-1414. This artwork is attributed of the workshop of the Master of the Cite des Dames.
