This cup has been given the name ofBull Dog, from its holding-on quali-ties; one of its strong points being that itcannot lose itself or any part of it, with-out a smashup or the gentle persuasion ofa sledge hammer. After the cup has beenbolted down to strap, the small dowel pinD is driven home through hole in head ofscrew and cuts its way into the brass. Thehole is then riveted over enough to pre-vent pin working out, fastening the cupsecurely to the strap.
