Pro democratic protesters attend a court session against the Former Member of Poland's National Council of the Judiciary and former spokesperson of the Council, Judge Waldemar Zurek at the Court of Appeal in January 2018, Waldemar Zurek was dismissed from his position by the new president of the Krakow Regional Court, Dagmara Pawelczyk Woicka, who was appointed by the Law and Justice Party Minister of Defence, Zbigniew Ziobro. Defenders of Judge Waldemar Zurek submitted a motion to exclude all judges who were to adjudicate in his disciplinary process.
