A Conker from a Horse Chestnut Tree latin name Aesculus hippocastanum or Buckeye
A single conker on the forest floor having fallen from a horse chestnut tree. The conkers are collected by children and holes are pierced so that string can be thread through with a knot tied at one end. Two conkers are then catapulted forward at each other until one breaks, this is an old fashioned game played by children in playgrounds of Great Britain.
