Shiraz is known for its splendid gardens, exquisite mosques The Nasir ol Molk Mosque is one of the most beautiful in Iran. It is also known as the Pink Mosque due the the extensive use of rose-coloured mosaic tiles in the designs on its walls and ceilings. The mosque was built from 1876 to 1888 during the Qajar era by the order of the ruler Mirzā Hasan Ali (Nasir ol Molk). The designers, responsible for the exquisite mosaic tile designs, were Mohammad Hasan e Memār and Mohammad Rezā Kāshi-Sāz e Širāzi.
