During the last thirtyyears a lace termedValenciennes-Brabant hasbeen made, in which thedivision of labour, com-mon to Flemish laces, hasbeen adopted. Instead ofbeing made in one piece,as is the case with Valen-ciennes lace, the flowersand ornaments are madefirst and the groundworkis then inserted betweenthem.
