MIDDLE EAST "VETERANS" IN FIGHTER COMMAND SQUADRON IN BRITAIN - For story see Picture (issued 1943) shows - Flying Officer Hancock, DFC., a Malta "veteran" who comes from Wallingford, Berks. He arrived on the island by air, having flown a Hurricane from the aircraft carrier "FURIOUS" in May 1941. He later took part in the Syrian campaign and also fought in Egypt and Libya.
