A sabre for officers of the hussars dating from the reign of Catherine the Great (1762 - 1796), Sturdy, single-edged blade with fullers and a double-edged point. On both sides of the base remnants of gilding with an etched trophy bundle, mounted hussars below the inscription "Vivat Hussar". The Cyrillic designation for "SOLINGEN" etched into the back.
