A Persian shamshir, 1st half of the 19th century. A slightly curved single edge, wootz(?)-Damascus blade with fullers on both sides (somewhat filmed with rust). A chiselled inscription cartouche on both sides of the ricasso with remnants of silver inlay. Brass inlaid quillons, bone grip scales, and iron pommel cap. Easily improved by cleaning. Length cm.
