In all periods painters have found themselveslured to depict the fleeting and transitory aspectsof the life of Paris, her streets, her theatres andher restaurants. Among those who have donevery personal work of this nature, one must give aplace to M. Jean Lefort. In his Concert desAinbassadeurs one finds him, not indeed in theexpression of it, but rather in the idea itself, hark-ing back to the traditions of Toulouse Lautrec andConstantin Guys. The artist has depicted withconsummate ability the appearance of the crowd. CONCERT DES AMBASSADEURS BY JEAN LEFORT3 = 9 studio- Talk
