Air Force colonel Kurt D. Tongren of the 140th Wing gives opening statements while the players stand just outside the third and first baselines at the Aurora Sports Park, in Aurora, Colorado. Several teams from over six states are participating in this years annual National Guard softball tournament. This tournament has been going for 55 years and was started in 1966 by John Burton.
