Ottawa, Canada - June 1, 2024: Statue of Tabaret at the University of Ottawa was covered in red paint on May 24. Tabaret was considered a founder of the University. Stickers calling out Jacques Fremont, President of the University, have been added to the Tabaret Hall sign. No one has claimed responsibility for the act. The grounds of Tabaret Hall are now covered with tents as Pro-Palestinian protesters demand that University disclose and divest any Investments it has with companies and organizations with ties to Israel.
