Warrington based commercial property company Langtree says that occupancy and rents have both risen in the last financial year. In its results for the year 2021/22, company Chairman Tim Johnston also highlights a 130 per cent increase in profit before tax to £ and a 45 per cent increase in net asset value to £, but says the firm needs to be ‘ever vigilant,’ given current economic headwinds. Warrington in particular has been highlighted in the report. The firm's join venture with Warrington Borough Council is promising a change to the southern gateway into Warrington town centre around Wilderspool. The past 12 months has seen confirmation of the creation of a new digital hub at St James Business Centre, the start of construction of the new bus depot on Dallam Lane in the town centre to free up further development land on Wilderspool Causeway, and finalisation of the funding for the Bevan Mews housing development. This will see 160 homes built on the former Wilderspool Stadium site which has been empty for more than five years since it was demolished. More at
