He was the son of a noblemannamed Authair, who received S. Columbanus at Vultiac onthe Maine, probably about the time when he was drivenfromLuxeuil. Aiga, the wife of Authair, brought her two and Ouen, before the venerable Irish abbot to receivehis benediction. Neither of the children was then ten yearsold.
