The other cow is QuakerGirl 4551, a nearly solid-colored dark fawn, and is a full sister toBelle of Collino-wood. Neither of these cows have been tested forbutter. The bull calf, which forms the center of the group, is outof Quaker Girl, and was got by Daisys Champion, a bull that tracestwice in three removes to Champion of America 1567, and whosedam is a daughter of Rex 1330. Clapp, of Kenosha,Wis. Color, fawn with some white. Tested at four years old, inmidsummer, running on grass with other cows and fed same as other dairy stock, showing a yield of 17 lbs. 10 oz. of butterin seven days. Sketched from life by Burk. (408)
