The Wettstein Cemetery in the Vosges region of France contains the graves of 2,201 soldiers and an additional 1,334 in ossuaries


The Wettstein Cemetery, the burial place of 0of more than 3,535 French soldiers of the First World War battlefield of Le Linge, lies close by in the mountains of the Vosges in the village of Orbey. This image shows the monumental cross and memorial bronze statue of a fallen Chasseur by French sculptor Antoine Rubin from the nearby city of Colmar dedicated to the Blue Chasseurs. The cross sits in one of two ossuaries where the remains of 1,334 unidentified soldiers have been interred to date.
