River rafting, Taku River. Rafters in an inflatable boat (yellow) at the confluence of Kwashona Creek (blue water) and the Taku River (cloudy water). Bishop Falls is in the background. Taku River is located in British Columbia, Canada, and flows through the Coast Mountains reaching the sea at the border with Alaska. The colour of both the Taku and its tributaries are affected by silt and eroded rock from the surrounding mountains and glaciers. The high levels of rainfall in the Coast Mountains also produces waterfalls and dense forests.
