Armchair 1853 Julius Dessoir German (Prussian) This armchair in the Louis XIV Revivial style is part of a larger suite of furniture exhibited at the New York Crystal Palace by the Prussian immigrant cabinetmaker Julius Dessoir. Like other objects made for exhibition, this chair is larger and more lavishly decorated than it's domestically scaled counterparts.
