Mrs. Browns second husband was En-sign Silas Gates, who died in Stow, June 16, her son Silas removed to Wendell, she made herhome for a time in his family, but the latter years of herlife were passed in Ashby with her son Paul, and afterhis death with her grandson, Howard Gates, who livedon the old homestead, where she died June 19, 183 i, at the advanced age of nearly ninety-six years.
