210805-M-JM820-1018 MOHAMMED AL-AHMAD NAVAL BASE, Kuwait (Aug. 5, 2021) – A Marine assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) participates in a vehicle washdown at Mohammed Al-Ahmad Naval Base, Kuwait, Aug. 5. The 24th MEU is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of Operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
