In Japan, as in many countries, dogs can become treasured members of the family, and when they pass on, some are given grand burial sites. This photograph shows the grave of a dog in Japan's famous Okunoin Cemetery, which is not specifically for pets. In fact, the cemetery – the largest in the country – is mainly for human burials.
