One example of that commitment is the Clothesline Project hosted by Great Lakes Fleet and Family Support Center. The project started in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women, as vehicle for the women affected by violence to express themselves through art. They then hang the shirt on a clothesline to be viewed by others as testimony to the problem.
