We feel proud of the fact that on this field of Gettysburg,when the cause of treason received its death blow, the Ninety-ninth was inthe forefront of the battle, and here, on the extreme left of the Unionlines, its gallant color guard held aloft the glorious old banner which formedthe rallying point for thousands and saved the day.
