GLASGOW.—The sixth exhibition ofthe Glasgow Society of Artistsrecently held at the WarneukeGallery was in some respects themost interesting of the series. The President,Mr. John Hassall, , added distinction to theyear by sending, amongst other examples of hisart, a large canvas. The Beggars are Coming toTown, which in that subtle characterisation soconspicuous in all his figure studies, must rankas one of the best Hassalls seen in feature of the show were two of thefinest productions of the late Bessie McNicol,an
