Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Thomas A. Gorry, president, Marine Corps University, and retired Gunnery Sgt. Nick A. Popaditch, Supervisor at Tesla Motors, stand for the playing of the national anthem after the 17th Sgt. Walter K. Singleton distinguished lecture series held at Warner Hall, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., May 8, 2017. Sgt. Singleton was killed in action in Vietnam and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor in 1968. The lecture series is held to broaden the leadership perspective of the Corps' future leaders attending the Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academy.
