Wart hog (Phacochoerus aethiopicus) standing outside the entrance to its den. This herbivore lives in small family groups, spending the hottest parts of the day sheltered under vegetation or in its den, which it adapts from an old aardvark burrow. The wart hog feeds on grasses and herbs and is found in savanna and grassland throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Photographed in the Mala Mala Game Reserve, South Africa.
