They keep well in water as cut flowers. Anglica (English Iris )—This species has large flowers in shades of purple, violet, lilac, rose, pink and white, and a few of the varieties are spotted. It is necessary that the bulbs be planted as soon as they come to hand, as they will suffer if kept a long time out of the ground.
