Malformed uterus. Hysterosalpingogram showing a malformed uterus. The diagnosis is not certain here. This may be a two-horned uterus (bicornuate uterus) or possibly the presence of a unicornuate uterus. The uterus is at upper right (dark grey, above the blacked out area). One of the two 'horns' is highlighted by the contrast medium (grey) at upper right. A bicornuate uterus is a congenital defect that results in the division of the upper end of the uterus into two halves. A unicornuate uterus is where only half the uterus develops properly.
