Aerial view of the inner harbouf of Copenhagen. The old famous noma restaurant in the red tiled former warehouse in centre and the Copenhagen Opera

Aerial view from the top of the Church of Our Saviour over Christianshavn and the port of Copenhagen: Christianshavn Canal, Restaurant "noma" in the waterfront end of the long former warehouse with the red tiled roof in the centre and the Copenhagen Opera House further away towards the harbour entrance. The coast of Sweden in the background. The new Copenhagen Opera House (inaugurated January 2005) at the waterfront in the port of Copenhagen is the national opera of Denmark and one of the most modern opera houses in the world - and the most expensive ever built. It is located on the island of Holmen in the centre of Copenhagen just opposite the castle Amalienborg. The Opera House is designed by the Danish architect Henning Larsen.
