Covering an area of sq km, the former Jurong Bird Park was the world's largest bird park in terms of the number of birds, and 2nd largest both in the number of bird species and land area. It was slated to be relocated to the north of Singapore in 2020, but the move was pushed back to 2022 due to COVID-19. Bird Paradise, the new bird park at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, is set to open in the 2nd quarter of 2023.
