The Battle of Eylau, 9 February 1807, (c1850). The Battle of Eylau was one of the major engagements of the War of the Third Coalition. Napoleon fought Russians and Prussians under the command of Count Bennigsen near the Prussian town of Eylau (modern Russian Bagrationovsk). Both sides sustained heavy casualties, and the outcome of the battle was inconclusive. Print from a series depicting the campaigns of Napoleon I, published c1850.
