Black redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) at the Fort Shoreham UK. Slate grey above sooty black face and breast white wing bars chestnut red tail and rump

Black redstart a reported sighting for several weeks at and around the old fort remains on the coast at Shoreham UK. I went to the fort to see if the bird was still around and saw it after 10 minutes darting about from mud banks to posts wall's etc. First time I have seen one and I am pleased to get some good images of this smart male in winter plumage.
