Traffic Victim on Okinawa Beach. In the landings on the section of the Okinawa beach, a Marine whose foot got caught in an amtrac was the only casualty of the invading forces. This photo of a hospital corpsman dressing the minor injury while other Marines look on was made by a Coast Guard combat photographer who went ashore in the historic Easter morning assault, from a Coast Guard-manned invasion transport.
